What we do
KATHARANGAM uses the age-old tradition of storytelling to build and strengthen the connections between people, to inculcate and impart the value of listening, to weave into the fabric of our rich heritage and culture, and most importantly, the understanding, that everyone’s story matters.

According to Antonio Damacio’s book “Descartes’ Error: Reason, Emotion and the Human Brain,” neuroscience tells us that humans respond more powerfully to stories than plain facts or data alone.
Our brains are wired to remember stories, but weaving tales alone is not enough to spur your customer, prospect, or manager to act. It is the arc of a story combined with powerful data and visuals that achieves the right balance of logic and emotion to generate decision-making.
Storytelling is a strong business skill and when implemented effectively, it can boost businesses in a number of ways, as in improving customer loyalty, creating a strong marketing strategy, people strategy, operational strategy, in implementing global best practices and organizational psychology.

Telling a clear, engaging story is more critical than ever now… especially if you are remote. Whether you are working on a sales presentation, an internal business update, or the ever-intimidating executive briefing, you need a road map to guide you.
KATHARANGAMS business storytelling workshop introduces a framework for turning your data, insights, and recommendations into compelling, audience-centric business stories. The workshop is delivered virtually, on-demand digitally, and faces-to- face—arms cross-functional teams with a collaborative tool and a common language for sharing ideas and presenting only the best solutions.

We all have ‘a story to tell’. Tales and narratives are everywhere and in almost all socio-cultural and artistic sectors, the words storytelling and narratives pop up. Oral storytelling as the master of narratives has a lot to offer to these artistic mediums and sectors, and they, in return, offer new carriers and interfaces for storytellers.
Storytelling is the oldest form of education. It is one of the most powerful means to
influence, teach and inspire. Good stories connect people and build familiarity and trust.
Stories, being easy to remember, helps with learning.
Psychologist Peg Neuhauser found that learning which stems from a well told story is remembered accurately for a longer time.

Katharangam founded in 2013, is in a constant endeavor to spread the magic of stories to educators, children, the differently-abled population, NGOs, and the corporates. Katharangam has initiated the process of recognizing synergies of various other performing art forms with storytelling as its mainstay.
Katharangam is also working to enhance the visibility of storytelling as a performing art and plans to organize a yearlong s
storytelling calendar with a different flavor.
We, therefore, bring to you workshops that help you to become a better storyteller and teacher.
